Welcome to the duckworks boat plan index. for 10 years we have been compiling this comprehensive list of links to the pages with information about the designs you want to build. this direct linking helps you make comparisons between different boats quickly. to help keep the page size down, we have divided the boats into the categories you see. But i see today's blue water keel boat sailors worry if they can't self right quickly from rolling 150 degrees, i.e. almost inverted! also i've used my favorite pivoting leeboard and rudder with a gaff rig, stepped off center on a tabernacle for easy boarding and rigging.. 
duckworks boat plans index Welcome to the duckworks magazine archives. here is where you will find articles that we began posting in 1999 right up though 2016. much of that time we posted a feature each weekday, so there is a lot of material here. some of the years are listed by subject and some by month. just pick a spot and start reading.. They are suitable for most boats with beam of 4'6" (1.37m) to 5' (1.52m) - email me if you are in doubt. as they were for a particular person i haven't created an integrated plan pack for them. however, the free paddle plans use exactly the same methods and sequence of assembly - so use the drawing for the oars and the paddle method and all.
