Hi bruce, i use halfords acrylic primers for undercoats, then i use for what the boat needs, i do use vallejo paints quite a lot, airbrushed of course, but for such a big area as the dusseldorf, be like martin and choose the colour red you like, bottle, tin or rattle can.
