Please only use your own boat – club boats not to be used and boats not to be loaned. two (or more) signs will be provided to warn tarn visitors and ask them to give launching/recovering boats some space (it goes without saying to please treat all other tarn users with respect and be polite, and keep 2m apart).. The building next to the tarn still stands and is used by the leeds & bradford model boat club. y092 to the left is a small shed used as a ticket booth for paddle and rowing boats. also a photo of trolleys used to move boats. photographer dennis court. 1935 – the rocks were put in place around the edge of the dam to protect from erosion.. 1937 – bradford model boat club who had shared the dam with ysc moved to larkfield tarn at rawdon as the new rocks were doing too much damage to the delicate craft.. 1939 – at the outbreak of the war the club had 12 registered boats.
