Boat Trailer Fender Paint
boat trailer fender paint
The boat/trailer is a 73, so i'm not looking to dump a bunch of cash into the project, but still want it to look good and last for a while. it will probably be easier to go with galvanized round fenders and apply a few strips of anti-skid tape, but not sure i want to go with the same style i already have.. Boat trailer fenders. boat trailer fenders are required by law in many states. why? they prevent stones that are kicked up by the trailer tires from damaging vehicles that may be following the trailer. however, these are among the first trailer components to show signs of wear.. When my trailer was new i had my fenders done at the local rhino-liner shop. pulled them off and had them sprayed, made for a good grip and never chipped from travel down the freeways. the boat was white/gray/black, and the trailer was white with black fenders. looked pretty good, and only cost me 70 bucks for two..
boat trailer fender paint The galvanized trailer fenders now looked a bit tatty, so i gave them a wire brushing, a cleaning, and a couple of coats of rust-oleum cold galvanized spray paint. the finish is not as hard as i would like, but the fenders look much better than they did before.. Painting boat trailer fenders? august 26th, 2016, 11:27 am. hi all, i have a 94' shoreland'r jetski trailer that somebody unfortunately spray painted the white plastic fenders on. about half the paint stuck and about half has flaked off. i have tried getting all the paint off including pressure washing them but it isn't going to happen..
